The only difference between a tax man and a taxidermist is that the taxidermist leaves the skin. ~ Mark Twain

As you are well aware, there are many kinds of taxes.  There are taxes you pay personally, taxes your corporation pays, taxes you collect from others and taxes you withhold from employees and send in on their behalf.  Every type of tax has its rules, regulations, forms and deadlines.

I can help interpret these rules, regulations and forms so that you can meet your deadlines.

Some of the questions people most often ask regarding taxes are:

  • should I register for GST/HST?
  • will I save tax dollars if I incorporate?
  • do I get a tax refund?
  • are there tax deductions I should know about?
  • does CRA offer any tax incentives to my business?
  • should I buy something just to get the tax ‘write-off’?

If you’ve ever asked an accountant any of these questions, you may have noticed that the answer is always the same:

“Well, it depends...”

That’s because all the many rules and regulations are written to apply to very specific situations and sets of circumstances.  The answer will always depend on the many variables that make your business unique.

Since there is no quick, easy answer to your tax questions, plan to take the time to have a detailed conversation, expect me to ask you lots of questions, and then give me time to do the necessary research, when you call to discuss your tax concerns.
